As the Executive Director and founder of Global Planning Source Inc., Karen brings over twenty years in the travel industry, including key management roles with incentive travel companies and program driven incentive travel and corporate meeting planning.

Her extensive knowledge of corporate travel management, corporate travel consulting, event planning, meetings/incentive travel and account management has enabled her to work extensively with organizations on a local, national and global level on travel management program development and consolidations.

She founded the company in 2006, combining her passion of travel and event planning into a company that provides a unique offering that she felt was missing in the industry – a complete planning company that manages every detail with high touch service.

Karen has set the bar high.  Her background and philosophy in life is to deliver a Hall of Fame performance, a personality trait she was shown by her father, Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Scotty Morrison.

Beth Hodgson, Senior Program Manager

For nearly ten years Beth is Karen’s “right hand” – managing details, web registrations, budgets, reconciliation, assisting to make sure things go smoothly. She sources venues through research and experience to find really unique opportunities around the world.

Her career spans 20 years in travel and event planning, creating and executing special events, product launches, incentive programs, reward and recognition programs for a wide variety of corporate clientele. Her track record with clients is one of excellence. She brings exceptional relationships with suppliers including hotels, destination management companies and exclusive venues. This makes her a unique asset through her connections coupled with her background in creating compelling events.

With her vast experience in strategic meeting management, Beth ensures that her clients enjoy extraordinary and memorable events, conveying the desired outcome through creative themes, décor, and entertainment.

Beth loves to create phenomenal proposals and is strategic in her proposal development and individual client summaries. She partners with clients to create dream experiences, managing every detail for flawless delivery.
